ENG: As I’m currently waiting for my flight and before heading back home to rest for a few days, I thought it would be a great idea to share some of my traveling tips with you. If you’re planning on traveling soon, this should definitely help you organize your trip and avoid last minute dramas.
- Booking a flight
Now this one is the most obvious but it’s always good to remind it; if you want to travel for less, make sure to book your flight at least four weeks before, the more you will wait the more expensive you’ll have to pay( trust me, last minute booking always cost an arm!). Also don’t refer to one traveling company but take a look at all the ones that serve your destination and compare the prices before buying your ticket.
Finally, when you’re searching for a flight, airline companies make their prices go up after a few minutes. But there’s a trick if you want to avoid this, you can put your internet browser under private browsing or incognito so that the airline’s website can’t figure out where the search is coming from and the prices won’t go up.
Rolling your clothes is a good idea if you have a lot of clothes and want to save space in your luggage.
- Beauty products
When travelling you won’t need your entire bottle of shampoo or shower gel, so instead of filling your luggage with a bunch of products that you will not fully use anyway, I suggest you go for small size beauty products or samples. This will help you save space and travel light.
I would recommend buying your snacks before heading to the airport so you don’t pay expensively. Usually the prices are 2 to 3 times higher than regular supermarkets and food restaurants.
- Travel pillow
I would definitely recommend a travel pillow, especially if it’s a long haul flight.
There’s a small probability for your luggage to get lost during a flight but this can happen sometimes so don’t take unnecessary risks. I always make sure to put my valuable and fragile belongings (Camera, laptop, sunglasses, etc. …) in my carryon bag.
The last thing you want is to spend hours on a seat with nothing to do, so make sure to bring devices (movies, playlist music, books, magazines ….) that will keep you entertained during your flight.
